10 Minute Banana Dessert

Bananas, coconut milk and milk are all you need to bring this easy dessert to the table. Also good when served chilled.

Ingredients
  • 2 very ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp honey or sugar (optional)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. Bring coconut milk, milk, water and salt to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Melt honey or sugar in the milk, if using.
  3. Add bananas and cinnamon and cook till bananas are slightly softened but not mushy, about 1-2 minutes depending on the bananas.
  4. Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
Use ripe or very ripe bananas. Smaller bananas (eg. Lady Finger Bananas/Pisang Mas, Apple Bananas, Pisang Raja) are good, they seem to have a more concentrated sweetness.
Sugar or honey is optional, especially if the bananas are very sweet.
Cinnamon adds a spicy, aromatic fragrance but can be omitted.
